runs continue to flow |
Devon Under 15s resumed winning ways as they comprehensively beat Bucks in the Under 15 Performance Round. After winning the toss Devon accumulated steadily as Vicky Bowden and Giselle Ansley added 130 for the 2nd wicket which was to be the basis of a commanding total. Bowden batted through for an unbeaten 62 whilst Ansley made a solid 44 to banish all early season poor form with the bat. Wickets fell a little too quickly as Devon looked to push on but Ellie Hall steadied the ship with Bowden as Devon closed on 186-6. The Bucks reply was on the skids early in the innings as they were reduced to 18-2, Rebecca Donohue and Jodie Dibble claiming a wicket apiece. The wickets fell steadily as Tessa Dibble took 3-10 with Rebecca Piddock also helping herself to a couple of wickets as Bucks slipped to a 131 run defeat. |
