Having won the toss Devon chose to bowl first and then attempt to chase on a good Exmouth pitch. Herefordshire lost wickets regularly after a slow but sound start and were dismissed for 168, with Connor Bryan taking three wickets, Will Matthewman two and Matt Golding (an under-14 leg-spinner playing his first game at U15) two wickets in 15 overs.
Devon made light work of reaching the target, scoring freely from the start. Tom Mitcham scored 59 and Alex Brown finished with an unbeaten 63.
