DEVON Premier side Exeter are back in the nets on Tuesday night (January 7) for their first winter practice session.
The city side are easing back into cricket gently with fortnightly sessions at the Devon Cricket Centre on the University of Exeter campus.
The dates are January 7 and 21, February 4 and 25 then every Tuesday night in March and through to April 8.
The net is booked from 8-9pm, except for March 25 when the time is 9-10pm.
Exeter are set to appoint a new captain for 2014 as Jon Tipper has stepped down after doing the job for most of the last seven seasons, although Rob Holman and Mike Wilkinson both had a go as well
Tipper missed much of last summer due to injury and while he was off Tom Viljoen and Holman both skippered the side.
Exeter aren’t saying who will take over from Tipper yet. That announcement will follow the club’s annual meeting on January 29.
