A DIVISION 2nd XICHAMPIONS Exmouth made it 11 wins for the season when they eased past Bradninch by 38 runs.Bradninch had harboured hopes of a late push for second place before they ran into Exmouth, but can probably forget them now as they are 21 points behind Tavistock in second place.
Even so it was no cakewalk for Exmouth, who found runs hard to come by – and wickets almost a difficult.
Exmouth opener Stuart Rintoul batted through for 83, sharing in stands of 65 with Julian Page (23) and 59 with Roger Wensley (48) in a tally of 196 for seven.
Mark Perrett and Luca Fencl had three wickets each for Bradninch.

Nick Goodchild (49no) lost Marc Webber to Mark Johnson (1-12) in the 18.2 overs Tavvy needed to knock off the runs.
Barton, who were second, dropped back third due to dropped bonus points in the one-wicket win over bottom side Sidmouth.
Mike Dibble’s 15 was as good as it got for Sidmouth as they were bowled out for 76 by Pete Gartrell (4-10) and Dave Palmer (2-15).
Palmer (26) then top scored as Barton lurched to 71 for nine in reply as Tom Chaplin (3-20) and Dom Bess (4-22) asked awkward questions of the batters.
Last man Mike Lievesley hit a four to win it.
Chudleigh and Plymouth 3rd XI fought out a dire draw at kate Brook in a game which won’t longer long in the memory.
Chudleigh were all out for 174 – and were glad of a stand worth 64 for the seventh wicket between Shaun Newland (34) and Mark Heather (25) for undoing some of the damage done by Martin Gill (4-28) and four run outs.
Plymouth struggled to 53 for seven in reply as they struggled against Matt Ball (2-13), Will Heather (2-9) and Graeme Wilson, who had remarkable figures of three for eight from 10 overs.
