The Overton Twins, Craig and Jamie, completed a hugely successful summer picking up the victor ludorum award in Devon Youth cricket the Buller Bowl. They have both been selected for this winters England under 19 tours, having played important roles in their club, North Devon, winning the Premier title. They are also key players in Somerset performing regularly for their twos. They received the prestigious Bowl from Nottinghamshire’s captain Chris Read. Read is an outstanding supporter of youth cricket in Devon being Patron of the Youth Foundation.Two former winners Lewis Gregory and Heather Knight have also had exceptional years. It is a tribute to Devon’s outstanding team of coaches in clubs, working in the Districts and at county youth level that players such as Lewis Gregory, Adam Dibble, Chris Metters, Tom Allin, Heather Knight and Jamie Overton have all performed before the SKY cameras this summer. It is a testimony to all the work put in at grass roots by an exceptional group of coaches who all share in the success of their prodigies.
