Four Devon girls have been selected in the 15-player squad that has been announced for the England Women's U19s inaugural tour of South Africa in October. Amara Carr. Aylish Cranstone, Lydia Harris and Cait O'Keefe make up the bigest contingment from one county in the squad. This is a brilliant opportunity for the players.Yorkshire's Jess Watson will captain the side for three T20s and four one-day internationals. The young squad will face Emerging South Africa in three games of each format as well as playing a one-off ODI against South Africa on October 21st at Potchefstroom. Head of women's cricket Clare Connor said: “This squad of players have put in some consistently strong performances in the EWDP U19 competition and for their counties to earn their selection and they should be rightly proud of being picked for this inaugural England Women's U19 tour. “The England Women's team has set high standards this summer with their impressive Ashes victory and we hope that this crop of under 19 players aspire to equally high standards of performance."
