No play on day two against Cheshire
DEVON and Cheshire will try to salvage something from the wreckage of their rain-ruined game at Bowden if the weather relents tomorrow.

Play ended early on Sunday due to rain and there was no play at all yesterday. The decision to call it off for the day was made shortly after lunch.

Cheshire need to win as they are in a three-way fight with Wales and Shropshire for this season’s Western Division title.

Devon skipper Josh Bess will almost certainly be amenable to cutting the game down to one innings each as the game is nicely poised for that to work.

Cheshire are 254 for seven with 20 overs to go. A target of around 300 in an estimated 90 overs would make a worthwhile game of it.
