IVYBRIDGE’S up-and-down time in the B Division continued with a six-wicket setback against visiting Shobrooke Park;
The Bridge made 198 for nine in their 45 overs with Andy Johnson making 25 early, followed by anchorman Jeewan de Silva (82) and Abraham Kopparambil (25) later on.
Dylan Blignaut picked up four Ivybridge wickets for 41 runs.
Shobrooke were never really challenged knocking off the runs after Jon James (42) and Blignaut (56) got them going.
Ashley Sutherland, the holidaying Australian returning to the club he played for in 2004-05, cracked 72 as Shobrooke won at a gallop.
“It wasn’t a great day for us, not just because of the result but because of the injuries we sustained,” said Ivybridge skipper Gareth Andrews.
“By the end we were down to nine as Neil Lancaster was in hospital and Josh Coker was in some pain.
“Neil dislocated something in one of his hands while fielding – it looked pretty nasty – and is out for sometime.
“Josh felt a hamstring go as he was bowling and reckons he won’t play for six weeks.”
