Exmouth beef up side with rugby star Dawe

THINGS can only get better for Exmouth this Saturday when they go to North Devon.

Last Saturday’s 10-wicket stuffing by Exeter was a pointless affair for Exmouth in every sense.

They were well beaten and didn’t do enough to claim a point!

England U18 rugby star Ollie Dawe has a window of opportunity to play before his other season starts and comes into the side.

Youngster Fin Marks drops into the 2nd XI, where he will get some time in the middle opening the batting.

North Devon make one change from the team defeated by Heathcoat last Saturday.

Tom Allin comes back from a back injury to replace the injured Mat Dart, who has picked up an elbow injury.

“Having Tom back will be a massive bonus for us psychologically more than anything,” said skipper Barney Huxtable.

“Tom is second from top in the wickets for the division and has missed two games and had a match where he hasn't taken one.

“I think that shows just how good of a bowler he is.

“We are looking to bounce back after last week’s defeat, but I know Exmouth are no mugs and have seven or eight players in the side who could take a game away from us at any time.”
