Bideford hungry for more wins

BIDEFORD skipper James Ford said his bottom-of-the-table side are hungry for more wins after their victory over Barton.

“Really glad for the lads to get our first win,” said Ford.

“It was the first time we put in a good, all- round performance.

“Now we have our first win, we don't want it to be our last.”

Bideford entertain Hatherleigh in what is effectively their only derby game of the season.

Hatherleigh have been up and down all season, which skipper Mark Lake attributes to woeful inconsistency.

“We have not won back-to-back games this season as we have always followed up a win with a defeat,” said Lake, whose side won at Sandford last time out.

“So we are going to be really focused on winning this week.

“Bideford will be confident after their win last week, and they have some dangerous players, so I have respect for them.

“We need to focus on our own game and hopefully a good result follows.

Ryan Davies and Andy Bennett are unavailable. Jack Cherrington and Charlie Nielsen come in.
