SANDFORD beat Bideford by 12 runs to take fourth place in the final table off Bradninch.
Richard Tucker hit a top score of 53 for Sandford in a total of 179 all out.
Russ Discombe (17) and Prince Masvuare (23) got the score up to 50 for two then Tucker got going.
There were no big stands involving Tucker – 26 with Tom Gidney was as good as it got – but when Tucker got out the score was up to 137 for seven.
Freddie Filor (18) and Jamie Palmer (11) chipped in runs at the end.
Relegated Bideford were going nicely at 113 for four with Josh Atkinson on his way to 54.
Masvuare made the breakthrough Sandford needed by bowling Atkinson and proceeded to clean up.
Bideford lost their last five wickets for just 18 runs on the slide to 167 all out.
Masvuare took three wickets on his way to figures of six for 35 and there was a wicket each for Palmer and Filor as Bideford were killed off.
Skipper Palmer said fourth place represented a decent year with a young, developing side.
He added: “Looking forward to next year, hopefully adding a couple more players to the squad and really pushing for promotion.
“It's been good to see the young players performing, Tom Williams, Charles Fitzroy and Josh Cann all impressing at various times and not being overawed by playing at a higher level.
“A mention must also go to Prince Masvaure who, in the second half of the season, was a class act with the bat.
“He was brilliant both on and off the field and will be missed.”
