Selection headaches easing says Sandford skipper

SANDFORD entertain second-placed Brixham this Saturday looking to improve on the seven-wicket defeat suffered against leaders Cornwood.

Jackson Thompson was Sandford’s bogeyman taking four for 44 as they were held to 196 for eight, then slamming a match-winning 114 not out.

Skipper Jamie Palmer said injuries remain an issue, but the situation is improving.

“Still struggling with a freak amount of injuries with eight players across the two Saturday sides injured at the minute, hence why both sides aren't where they'd like to be,” said Palmer.

“Brixham will be tough, they're on a good run at the moment and will be full of confidence.”

Richard Tucker returns, Gary Abdol is back from University and Brian Leach back from injury.
