Fryatt takes hat-trick as Sandford's fortunes improve
SANDFORD 2nd XI had plenty to celebrate after they defeated their Budleigh Salterton counterparts by 18 runs.
Firstly, the won after losing every other game they had played this season.
There was also an unbeaten142 for Shaun Hawkins – 19 fours, three sixes – in a total of 223 for eight.
Then Shaun Fryatt performed the hat-trick – and took four wickets in the same over – on his way to a six-wicket haul as Budleigh were bowled out for 205.
For the record, Fryatt’s hat-trick victims were Alex Richardson and Lloyd Murrin – both bowled – followed by Chris Battin being caught on the boundary.
