DEVON Ladies entertain Ireland at Heathcoat tomorrow (Sunday) looking to consolidate their push for a top-two promotion finish in ECB Division Two.
Devon were one win away from the play-offs last season and want to go one better in 2015.
The only blemish on Devon’s record so far is a defeat by Somerset in the last round of matches.
Previously, they had won all three of their games under the leadership of Sidmouth’s England international Jodie Dibble.
Team manager Warren Carr has been using Devon’s international connections well to strengthen the side this season – and has come up trumps again.
Carr secured the services of Tasmanian Roar top-order bat Corinne Hall as a replacement for Kiwi Hannah Linton who has had to return home.
will fill in for the fixture with Ireland and the next round of T20 fixtures with Worcestershire and Northamptonshire.
Hall will re-join Berkshire after her brief spell with Devon.
Devon go into the fixture brimming with confidence after two convincing wins in their opening T20 fixtures at North Devon last weekend.
They defeated Buckinghamshire by 141 runs having posted 212, skipper Jodie Dibble smashing an unbeaten 104 from just 69 balls.
Cornwall were thrashed by 10 wickets as Devon chased 65 to win.
It is a 10am start at Heathcoat and spectators are welcome.
