Stokeinteignhead continue preparations for the new season by getting a working party out on the ground next weekend (April 2-3).
The field at Netherton Park is beginning to look like a cricket ground again after the winter period with the first major outfield cut of the year and the square having received cutting and rolling.
The club is hoping to invest in upgrading their equipment by purchasing a more suitable mower through grant funding as well as mobile covers.
The villagers are looking forward to their second season in the Tolchards Devon Cricket League, having learnt lessons during their inaugural year.
A date already ringed on the fixture list is the eagerly awaited derby clash with Shaldon Optimists on June 25.
Friendly fixtures take place from mid-April till mid-September against local sides as well as teams touring the area.
Stokeinteignhead are also undertaking their usual tour to the Salisbury area, an event started more than 40 years ago, with fixtures against Amesbury and Trull.
The club, based in Lower Netherton near Newton Abbot, has new sponsors Southern Timber of Ipplepen and Charles Stanley Financial Services of Exeter to join kit sponsors Print Source UK and Wild Goose Inn, Combeinteignhead.
League match sponsorship is available with more substantial sponsorship packages arranged for those who wish to assist the club.
Outdoor practice nights for members will commence on Thursday, April 7 with the junior section starting later in the month. New members of all abilities are welcome.
