Can Chance to Shine help your club?
Chance to Shine, the delivery arm of the Cricket Foundation, has changed the way it funds projects and the Devon Cricket Board are currently seeking applications for funding for the 2012 season.
Chance to Shine aim to create sustainable school/club links by paying for coaches from clubs to deliver sessions, assemblies and informal teacher training in a club's feeder schools. These links, it is hoped, will create player migration from schools to clubs and secure a constant flow of young players into clubs.
The new funding allocation scheme was announced at the recent Devon Club Seminar and the aim is for support to be more flexible than in the past. Applicants are encouraged to tailor their application to their own needs and use funding in a way that will maximise benefits to all parties locally.
