Devon Cricket Board Limited – Non Executive Director vacancy
Devon Cricket Board Limited is seeking nominations from member organisations and any other interested parties for the role of non-executive director.
It is the Devon Cricket Board’s intent to be recognised as “The leading non first class county – leading, inspiring and influencing the growth, quality and accessibility of cricket across Devon”. The primary objectives of the Devon Cricket Board can be viewed here.
In order to help achieve this objective and the specific goals outlined within the 2012 – 2017 Strategic Plan, the company is seeking a dynamic Non Executive Director to provide support to the existing operational and management board.
The candidate will ideally have a wide range of business experience and be well networked within the local business community. The Board are particularly seeking an individual who will be able to bring their experience to bear in raising the profile of the Board’s activities with potential sponsors and its general marketing strategy.
Whilst some experience of managing grassroots sport is preferred, knowledge of local cricket is not essential, since the ideal candidate will be able to provide independent constructive challenge to the current operational and management board.
The board’s detailed requirements for the non executive director’s role description can be found here.
