Devon Cricket Board – Company Secretary
The Secretary of the Devon Cricket Board has given notice of his resignation effective of December 2015 at the next company AGM.
The Board is therefore looking to recruit a Company Secretary, a voluntary post, with appropriate expenses paid, providing the opportunity to assist with the development of cricket and provide a service to members.
The Company Secretary will be responsible for the efficient administration of the company, particularly with regard to ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements and for ensuring that decisions of the Board of Directors are implemented.
The Devon Cricket Board (DCB) is the Local Governing Body for cricket in Devon as a member of the England & Wales Cricket Board (ECB) Recreational Assembly.
The company objectives are to promote the game of cricket at all levels, through the delivery of the ECB National Strategy, The DCB Strategic Plan and annual County Improvement Action Plans.
Approximate time commitment
3 hours
per week, this will be reviewed as required. Attendance at Monthly Directors meetings (first Thursday of each month)
and Quarterly members meetings in addition to administration of duties
highlighted below. Expenses will be paid
as agreed with the Directors.
Useful skills
We would require the individual to have excellent management, organisation, administration skills and be IT literate.
