ECB Pilot DROPLET

ECB are supporting Droplet in piloting a fantastic new mobile payment app.

Droplet is a free to use mobile payment app that let’s you send money to shops, clubs & friends in just a few taps, instantly and securely. All you need to use Droplet is a compatible smartphone, tablet or web browser - and it’s completely transaction fee-free for everyone.

To send money you don’t even need to know the other person’s bank details - you just choose them from “nearby” if they’re a business, or from your contacts.

Droplet means splitting bills, paying your subs or sharing a round has never been easier.

Droplet is totally cross-platform and is registered with the Financial Conduct Authority for the issuing of Electronic Money. Currently 18,000 people and over 1,000 businesses already use Droplet for payments.

Droplet are working with the England and Wales Cricket Boardto pilot this app with a small number of clubs initially. If it proves beneficial to cricket clubs then ECB will consider how best to widen the opportunity for other clubs.

This means clubs will be able to take payment from members for everything - from regular subs and coaching fees, to payments for food and drink, tickets and trips.

ECB are looking to find a small number of willing cricket clubs to take part in this pilot.

Please e-mail matt.theedom@ecb.co.uk or ring Matt on 07805 554636 by May 15th if your club would like to take part.
