Devon Cricket Board - Playing recorded music at cricket clubs

Important information for clubs:

The PPL are responsible for licensing venues that play recorded music to the public and distributes the fees as royalties to its members.

If your cricket club plays recorded music and even radio, whether it is during cricket events or private hire functions, you need to be licenced.

Phonographic performance limited (PPL) are in the process of contacting amateur sports clubs across the country. You may have already received communication from them and not realised it requires your attention. If you have not heard anything yet but play recorded music we advise you take immediate action.

Cricket along with several other sports have worked with the PPL to create a bespoke licence for amateur sports clubs.
