Words of Wisdom Well Received
Over 40 very keen individuals recently attended an evening at Barton C.C. organised by the South Area of DACO to discuss the latest MCC Law Changes as well as the Devon Cricket League Rule & Regulation changes for the coming season. The meeting, open to anyone who was interested, was advertised in the Local Press and on the DCB Website.
Led by Chairman Dave Moseby & Secretary Chris Shelton, ably assisted by Devon Scorers' Rep. Nick Evanson, the players & other Club members from around South Devon were given a very clear explanation of how things may affect them this year. Many questions were asked, and everyone left with a much better idea of how we will need to deal with these issues - particularly within the DCL. Dave said “I want our Meetings to be friendly, practical and to improve the knowledge and skills of all Officials at all levels so that everyone can enjoy playing cricket in South Devon”.
A group of marauding officials from the 'West' was luckily kept under control and so there was plenty of time to access the hospitality of Barton's bar - many thanks go to the Barton committee for the use of their facilities.
