Finals day this Sunday in Plymouth T20
IT’S s finals day in the Ivor Dewdney-sponsored Plymouth competition this Sunday. Cornwood play Plymouth in the main competition with Plympton and Plymstock playing off for the plate.

Cornwood defeated Plympton by seven wickets in their semi-final, Mohammad Salman scoring an unbeaten 37 as a target of 85 to win was knocked off.

James Toms (41no) and Andy Birkett (49) were Plymouth’s match winners in their eight-wicket victory over Plymstock.

Will Sykes made 32 and Rory Coltham 35 for beaten Plymstock.

THERE is some catching -up to do in the McKinley-White Exeter T20 before finals day at Exeter a week today.

Shobrooke Park have to play Budleigh and Exeter entertain Alphington in the last two qualifiers.

Sidmouth and Exmouth are already through.

THE North Devon qualifiers are at the semi-final stage where Braunton play Filleigh and Newton Tracey challenge North Devon CC.

STICKLEPATH were the winners of the West Devon T20 Championship competition sponsored by Kaminski Property Rentals.

They beat  Lydford to qualify for the main competition at Tavistock on Sunday, July 15.

BRADNINCH are looking for two sides to take part in the Mid Devon Twenty20 at their Kensham Park home on Sunday, July 8. Bradninch and Honiton are already there.

The format of the day is a couple of semi-finals before the two winners meet in the final. The winners will then take a place in the regional final day at Exmouth on July 29.

BOVEY Tracey are through to the first area final of the Ivor Dewdney’s Devon T20 competition after clinching their group qualifier by a mile!

Bovey overwhelmed South Devon CC by 82 runs in the play-off game between the two Thomas Trophies Newton T20 pool winners.

Bovey Tracey will play the winners of the Pro-Direct Torbay T20, once the latter competition has been completed.

Paignton will clinch the competition if they defeat Brixham in their last game this Friday.

The timetable for the regional finals is

Torbay or Newton Abbot District v North Devon and Exeter v West Devon by July 15. The Mid-Devon and Plymouth winners have been handed byes through to the finals day at Exmouth on July 29.

The finals day draw is: Plymouth v Exeter or West Devon and Torbay or Newton Abbot v Mid-Devon.
