Barnstaple off mark in C Division East
BARNSTAPLE are off the mark in the C Division thanks to a five-run win over visiting Feniton.
Brady Saunders top scored on 47 as B&P made 198 for five, Handy chip-ins came from Brady Saunders (47) and Devon U13 captain Jack Moore (35no).
At the other end of the age-range, Feniton’s super veteran Fran Pyle took two for 19.,
Feniton had a real go at getting the runs with Graham Tucker (38), new signing Sean Devine (36) and Canadian youngster Adam Rancharran (32) all weighing in.
It came down to 13 to win from the final over from Steve Moore (2-19) and Feniton’s last pair came up six runs short.
Tom Popham (3-50) was the leading wicket-taker for Barnstaple.
