MATT McGillivray bagged six Barton wickets for 31 runs to help send Brixham to a four-run win at Cricketfield Road.
Brixham’s total of 141 all out looked barely enough when Barton were 92 for five in reply.
In the space of four balls Gauteng fast-bowler McGillivray put Brixham in the driving seat by breaking a stand of 35 that had moved Barton along after they had been a worrying 57 for five.
Steve Lewis and Tom Porter went one after the other, but Barton weren’t finished yet.
Tom Drake (41) and Aqeel Ahmed (23) added 29 for the eight wicket to keep Brixham on their toes.
Stuart Edgar (2-2) came on and go Drake within three balls.
Ahmed was last man out also to Edgar as Barton were dismissed for 137.
Earlier, Brixham captain Andy Pugh top scored with 35 on his return to his old Cricketfield Road stamping ground.
Pugh and Edgar put on 56 for the second wicket before Barton skipper Adam Parker (4-15) got into the middle order.
A stand of 29 between Tim Robinson (27) and Simon Caunter (8) for the eighth wicket proved crucial in the context of a low-scoring game.
Mark Gilmour took two for 24 against one of his former clubs and Stuart Bowker (2-10) mopped up the tail.
