ISLAND CRICKET SOUTH DEVON LEAGUE
KINGSBRIDGE U11s defeated Ipplepen by 15 runs to clinch runners-up place behind Bovey Tracey in the Island Sports U11s A Division.
In a high-quality encounter Kingsbridge were reliant on Sam West (30 ret) and Ben Woods (16) to post a competitive score as the Ipplepen bowling unit made life hard for the visitors.
Alex Harris (2-1) and Ben Cowdry (2-8) led the Pens and with just 12 extras in 20 overs, Kingsbridge earned every run in their 20-over total of 83 for six.
Ipplepen got off to a slow start, but despite having wickets in hand could not capitalise on an opening stand of 32 between Corey Price (19) and Callum King (11).

James Tait picked up two wickets for four runs, but almost all of Kingsbridge’s 11 bowlers returned tidy figures.
