SANDFORD charge on at the top of the A Division 2nd XI table after trouncing Budleigh Salterton by eight wickets.
Sean Fryatt (4-19) and Gary Abdoll (3-20) rolled Budleigh for 90 with James Leat (25) the only batter to resist.
Toby Lochead (34no) and Scott Tremayne (33no) got together at 55 for two and knocked off the rest.
Chudleigh were too strong for bottom side Stoke Gabriel, who were bowled out for 124 by Mark Heather (4-39) and Matt Ball (3-26).
Dave Bolland (2-19) helped reduce Chudleigh to 22 for three in reply, but Heather (62no) and Paul Horne (43no) didn’t falter as the runs were knocked off.
Braunton were in the driving seat for most of the game against Heathcoat, but lacked the bowling firepower to kill them off.
After Walid Iqbal (20) and Sam Lathwell (23) had been and gone, Mark Lathwell (68no) and Dave Cresswell (68) put on 133 for the fourth wicket in Braunton’s total of 229 for five.
Mark Lathwell (4-28) and son Jason (2-21) had a lot to do with Heathcoat only making 165 for eight in reply.
Veterans Andy Nichols (48no) and Rob Acton (22no) steered Bradninch to a six wicket win over Plymouth 3rd XI.
Barton ran out of puff against Hatherleigh, whose total of 180 for seven owed a lot to an opening stand of 78 between Tom Rogers (41) and Mark Jones (29). Mike Liveseley was the pick of the Barton bowlers with five for 29.
Martin Powell (32) and extras (42) accounted for the bulk of Barton’s 132 for seven in reply.
