A DIVISION
BRAUNTON were beating in double quick time by Heathcoat, who raced to an eight-wicket win at Knightshayes.
Daron Drew took four for 17 as Braunton were bowled out for 138. Mark Lathwell’s 28 and Dan Crocombe’s 25 were as good as it got for the Kelsey side.
Guy Bucknell then clattered an unbeaten century to win the match for Heathcoat in just 23 overs.
Hatherleigh were too strong in pretty well every department for Barton, running out comfortable eight-wicket winners.
New signing Matt McCann, recently picked up from Torquay, made 32 and veteran Jim Parker 26 in Barton’s total of 129 for nine. Ross Cherrington and Lee Cockwill bagged three wickets each for Hatherleigh.
Andy Collier (62) and Mike Jones (40) got Haherleigh’s chase going. Terry Reynolds (20no) wrapped it up.
Sandford could do any better than beat Budleigh Salterton by a stonking 10-wicket margin.

Losing the last six wickets for 17 runs in 25 balls probably didn’t help either.
Tom Sparrow (62no) and Scott Tremayne (81no) knocked off the runs without mishap.
Veteran Andy Nicholls was Bradninch’s man of the moment in the nine-run win over Plymouth 3rd XI.
Although Martin Gill took six for 41 to bowl them out, Bradninch reached 191 helped by 56 from Nicholls.
Nicholls then took four for 52 as Plymouth collapsed from 130 for five to 182 all out.
Nine-man Stoke Gabriel pulled off a remarkable five-wicket win at Chudleigh where they chased 187 to win and got them with four balls to go.
Chudleigh were bowled out for 186 with Sam Hill and Kai Horsburgh and having identical figures of three for 20. No one made more than Will Heather with 26,
Jeff Baker’s unbeaten 34, added to 32 from Andy Ball, got Stoke over the line despite the unwanted attentions of Matt Heather (4-47).
