ALPHINGTON are looking to expand their player base and find a player-coach for the season just around the corner.
The Devon League B Division side run two Saturday sides and a Midweek XI playing evening cricket on a Tuesday night.
Alphington also run four youth teams – U10-U15 – and can always welcome new players.
New nets and practice facilities will be installed at the club’s Chronicles ground shortly, but for now pre-season training is indoors at the Devon Cricket Centre on the University of Exeter campus.
Dates and times are: Tuesday, April 2 (8-9pm), Wednesday, April 10 (7-8pm), Tuesday, April 16 (8-9pm) and Wednesday, April 25 (7-8pm).
Before the season starts Alphington are hosting a sportsmen’s dinner on April 15 at the Devon Motel.
High-profile soccer boss Barry Fry is the after dinner speaker.
