AXMINSTER Town Cricket Club are again running their popular summer camp, organised and run by their head of coaching and youth cricket Dan Murnane.
Murnane, a level three ECB coach, will be supported by the club’s wide range of ECB-qualified coaches over the five-day course between Monday, July 29 and Friday, August 2 (10am-2pm).
“The course covers batting, bowling, fielding, wicketkeeping and is great way to start the summer holidays,” said Murnane.
“There will be prizes for the star performers over the week’s course.
“Come for one, two, three, four or all five days if you want. Members and non-members of the club are welcome.”

The club are now at the end of their ‘Chance to Shine’ project, but are running APL (Axminster Premier League) match days on Sunday, July 21 and Sunday, August 18 (9.30am-11am).
Any child aged 5-15 years old can come along and play in incredi-ball matches.

Cloakham Lawns Sports Centre, the home of Axminster Town CC is now operating a weekly car boot sale on Saturday mornings (9am-noon). The proceeds are being used to help various clubs at Cloakham Lawns, including the cricket club.
Sellers are welcome to set up their pitch from 8am. If you have a car it costs £5 and a van £6. Refreshments available; teas, coffees, bacon rolls, hot dogs, burgers.Pop down and have a look.
