DARTINGTON defeated Harberton by 20 runs in the first match of this season’s Brockman Cup competition to be played.
Babbacombe were due to play Stokeinteignhead, but that match was cancelled by Stoke, who could not raise a side.
And Lustleigh’s home game against South Devon was called off due to waterlogged pitch. It has been rearranged for Tuesday, May 20.
Mike Jarvis top scored for Dartington & Totnes with 36 in a total of 106 for seven. Scott Colgate chipped in with 14.
There were two wickets each for Nick Dennis, Chris Tregelles and Mike Powell.
Harberton were under the cosh early as Mick Rusling (3-9) got into them.
Powell (32) resisted, but Glen Colgate with four for eight tied down the lower order.
Waiting for Darts in the second round are Brixham or Stoke Gabriel.
