BROCKMAN CUP DRAW - 2012
HOLDERS Stoke Gabriel 2nd XI have been drawn against Barton in next season’s Brockman Cup competition.
Stoke, who did the midweek cup double last summer as the 1st XI won the Aaron Printers Narracott Cup as well, will be at home to Barton on May 22.
Brixham, who were defeated by Stoke in the final, are at home to Abotskerswell in their first-round tie.
Old rivals South Devon and Lustleigh could meet in the second round if they overcome Torquay 2nd XI and Shaldon Optimists respectively in round one.
Shaldon will be entering a 2nd XI in this season’s competition as their 1st XI are now eligible for the Narrracott Cup instead.
The 2012 competition marks the 80th anniversary of the cup, founded by William Brockman for junior clubs in the Torquay area.
