Now 1st XI reach national final
DEVON Over 60s 1 X1 are through to the plate final of the Spitfire Over 60s National Championship after beating Worcestershire at Shobrooke Park.
Worcestershire, batting first, made 179 with excellent spells from Dave Gambie, Stuart Lott and Mike Canning.
Devon upped the tempo after slow start and a solid innings from Chris Theedom (62) helped by stand with Coe and Mountford then a telling innings from Canning saw Devon win with four wickets to spare.
In the previous round Devon beat Wales at North Devon.
Devon now meet Yorkshire in the final on a neutral ground next Tuesday.
