CHARTERED accountants and business advisers, Francis Clark have renewed their sponsorship of the Devon Cricket League for a 10th successive year.
Senior partner Steve Collins said: 'Francis Clark is delighted to confirm its long-standing commitment to local cricket against a happy backdrop of England being the current Number One Test playing nation and Devon the Minor Counties champions.
'We understand there are 71 clubs in the league and 151 teams with the number of clubs having fourth teams on the increase.
'However, while larger clubs are expanding, some of the smaller clubs are in decline with a regrettable shortage of grounds and support from local authorities.
'In these difficult times it is important we recognise the work undertaken by volunteer groups in our local communities. As a result Francis Clark is pleased to confirm its sponsorship of the Devon Cricket League for a further two years.'
