Working with the Devon Cricket League Chairman, an Ex-Warwickshire Professional Cricketer, and the Devon Premier League leading run scorer in 2013 was going to be a challenging task for our tutors. Pulling together these varied knowledge bases wasn’t going to be easy.
However, Steve Pritchard facilitated an excellent hour and a half master class on Create Development ideas around ‘the cog theory’ and how this could be integrated with a cricket spin in a school environment. With some fascinating discussions around various drills and ideas, all punctuated with ongoing laughter by all attendees, the first half of the evening concluded with 15 coaches taking away new ideas and confidence at working within primary and secondary schools.
All in all a fantastic evening had, with some outstanding sharing of best practice and ideas. It even goes to show that Devon Over 60’s player Stuart Munday can still have fun with blue plastic bats and balls.
Thank you to all who attended. Check out the pictures from last night’s chaos on our Facebook page now!
