Whimple skipper Ben Silk said: “We did not bat well and had we managed to get 20 or 30 more then I think that may have proved to be a wining total.”
Opposite number Morgan said: “Batting was not easy and we needed to dig deep. That’s the sort of effort you need to have a successful season and the victory keeps out campaign bubbling along nicely.”
Seaton host Countess Wear on Saturday who beat them by three runs on the opening day of the season.
Said Morgan: “We are a settled team now from the early days of the term. Countess Wear seem to be a team very capable of beating the best, but equally have lost five of their last six. We’ll need to be focussed on our individual and collective responsibilities.”

“The win lifts us in the table and now, with leaders Yelverton next, we have a real opportunity to announce our place amongst the leading sides in what is an increasingly tight Division.”
