TORQUAY 2nd XI clocked up their fourth successive 20-point maximum when they won by 10 wickets at Chagford.
A fine exhibition of seam bowling saw Daman Singh remove both openers in short order, then Mark Gilmour and Anthony Nadar proceed to clean up supported by some excellent catching and fielding.
Chagford were bowled out for 86 in 25 overs. Mark Gilmour took 5 for 24, Anthony Nadar 3 for 45 and Daman Singh 2 for 11
Captain Rob Jack and Tim Western calmly knocked off the runs in short order, making 33 not out and 43 not out respectively.
Torquay stay fourth in the table, but the gap between them and leaders Ivybridge is now only 10 games.
Said Jack: “Torquay still have to play most of the top teams twice so the really tough games are over the next month and continued focus will be required to continue progress.”
