E Division - Uplyme carry on winning
E DIVISION

UPLYME & Lyme Regis recorded their 16th successive Francis Clark Devon League win and also chalked up a complete calendar year of nothing but league victories with a seven wicket success at home to Kenn.

The visitors were asked to bat first and a combination of skipper Ashley Caddy (3-36) and Rod Holmes (2-20) saw them bowled out for 118.

Caddy then wasted no time in leading his side to victory with an unbeaten 72. Mark Batey chipped in with 21.

A delighted Caddy said: “It’s all going so very well. We were certainly clinical with the way we despatched Kenn. I don’t see any added pressure with the longer the winning run goes on.

It’s certainly nice to have reached the one year mark and that is quite a milestone to hit and something that we can all be very proud to have been part of. Of course the run has to end sometime, but for now we continue enjoying our cricket and playing very much to win in every game.”
