DARTINGTON & Totnes bowler Josh Thomas was the Francis Clark Devon League cricketer of the month for August in recognition of a unique cricketing achievement.
Thomas performed the hat-trick twice in the same game playing against Chelston during an E Division West 2nd XI game.
Thomas took two hat-tricks in the space of 14 balls at a cost of just two runs.
He opened his first hat-trick with an lbw decision, then bowled two in a row. The second hat-trick comprised three bowleds.
Thomas finished with six for 24 from seven overs as Chelston were skittled out for 80. D&T won the match by six wickets.
Chris Life (37no) and Sam Gornall (31no) took care of knocking off the runs.
Thomas, who is 15 and attends KEVICSS in Totnes, received a £50 cheque from Francis Clark representative Paul Collings.
Due to his age Thomas has to pass on the customary bottle of bubby, which was replaced by a bumper seletion of Haribo sweets
