THERE’S top-quality cricket at Exmouth today (1.45) when the Unicorns take on Gloucestershire Gladiators in the Clydesdale Bank Pro40 competition.
The Unicorns are a team draw from the recreational game and include the best Minor Counties cricketers available, plus the cream of the talent in Premier Leagues around the country.
Devon captain Neil Hancock played for the Unicorns last season when they made their debut in the competition, but asked not to be considered this summer.
Devon’s lone representative in the side is North Devon CC’s Glen Querl, who will be wearing shirt number 21.
The side is skippered by former Somerset all-rounder Keith Parsons, who is currently playing for Cornwall.
Start time is 1.45pm down on the Maer Ground, although gates will be open earlier. As always at Exmouth on big match days there will be ample car parking, a bar and hot food available on the ground.
Unicorns: M A Thornely, J R A Campbell, J E Ord, C M Park 33, J P T Knappett, K A Parsons, L M Reece, A Rashid, R G Querl, L E Beaven, A C McGarry, J R Levitt.
