Hancock clouts Bovey Tracey to victory
JAMIE Overton took his second hat-trick of the season yet still ended up on the losing side as Premier leaders Bovey Tracey beat defending champions North Devon by four wickets.

Neil Hancock took five for 28 as Bovey skittled North Devon for 81 – Overton making a ‘top’ score of 13.

Overton then took four wickets in five balls – Mullins, Fairbairn and Chris Bradley his hat-trick scalps – but Hancock saw off the danger with an unbeaten 47.

Max Furnie hit 68 for Bradninch in a total of 195 for seven at Plymouth, but the game failed to go the distance. Plymouth were 39 for two when it rained in the 14th over.

Sandford (129-8) defeated Torquay (136) on run-rate in game that went past the 20-over mark. Ben Clements’s 45 off 22 balls nudging over the finishing line.

Anthony Griffiths (43no) and Liam Lewis (41no) steered Sidmouth to an eight-wicket win at Heathcoat, whose total of 139 for seven owed much to skipper Chris Small’s 68 not out.

David Lye (83) and Richard Baggs (52) were both among the runs as Exmouth made 258 all out against Budleigh Salterton.

Joel Murphy’s 31 was as good as it got for Budleigh, who were all out for 134 in reply and tumbled into the bottom two.

There were three wickets for left-arm spinner Akeal Hosein and two each for Andy Buzza and Jamie Tapper.
