Holman hits 82 against South Oxon Ams

EXETER’S Rob Holman (82) and Shobrooke’s Justin Dollow (64 not out) powered the Devon Dumplings to a comfortable seven-wicket win over touring South Oxfordshire Amateurs at Exeter.

South Oxfordshire Amateurs batted first and made sedate progress, reaching lunch on 107 for three. The fourth wicket put on 92 with the SOA number three making an excellent 64.

The declaration came on the fall of the ninth wicket with the score on 236 after 57.5 overs.

For the Dumplings, Abbotskerswell’s Noah Tobias took 4 for 50, Rob Holman 2 for 14 and Matt Williamson 2 for 58.

The Exeter pairing of Holman and Mike Wilkinson saw the Dumplings through to 56 without loss at tea but the latter fell soon afterwards.

Holman and Dollow then added 63 before Holman was out for an entertaining 82.

Graham White contributed 32 before Dollow and Chris Kelmere (15no) saw the Dumplings home in the 37^th over with six of the last 20 overs remaining.
