UNDER 13A | Tables to follow

ABBOTSKERSWELL beating Bovey Tracey by six wickets opened up the title race with plenty of matches to play.

Star performance was from Bradley Causey for Bovey who took four wickets in four balls as they bowled Dartington & Totnes out for just eight runs.

It was Causey’s second hat-trick of the season.

Bovey 129-6 (A Causey 28, T Rooke 26, A Hartridge 3-17), D&T 36 (B Causey 6-13, T Rooke 2-10). Bovey Tracey (27) bt Dartington & Totnes (7) by 93 runs.

Paignton 182-6 (H Ward 30no, D Wolf 30no, R Acheson 2-36), Shaldon 36 (D Wolf 2-6, S Massey 2-4, C Smith 2-3, L Medlock 2-1, D Bullock 2-15). Paignton (30) bt Shaldon (7) by 146 runs.

Abbotskerswell 143-6 (N Wright 30no, T Codd 30no, T Duberley 25, R Luscombe 3-21), D&T 114-4 (A Hartridge 21, M Anders 19). Abbotskerswell (23) bt Dartington and Totnes (12) by 29 runs.

Bovey 94-8 (T Rooke 15, T Edgington 3-16, T Codd 2-14, T Duberley 2-16), Abbotskerswell 95-4 (J West 31no, N Wright 21). Abbotskerswell (28) bt Bovey Tracey (8) by 6 wkts.

D&T 84-6 (O Payne 30no, A Hartridge 15, E Harte 3-11), Shaldon 65-4 (D Humphrey 32no, M Anders 2-5). Dartington & Totnes (18) bt Shaldon (9) by 19 runs.

Bovey 121-7 (P Hicks 30no, M Adams 3-19, R Luscombe 2-31), D&T 8 (B Causey 4-3, B Steer 3-3, W Lammonby 2-1). Bovey Tracey (27) bt Dartington & Totnes (7) by 113 runs.

UNDER 13B | Tables to  follow

KINGSKERSWELL are comfortably clear at the top after two more emphatic wins. Harry Yeates achieved two more maximum retirements and looks to be the outstanding batsman in this division.

Zac Powell, the Passmore brothers and Charlie Mitchell are the main wicket takers with 13 between them over the two matches.

South Devon are new to the league this year and improving fast with Kaleb Warne and James Allen consistently amongst the runs and wickets.

Bovey Tracey are the only team with a chance of catching Kerswell, but were run very close by an improving Barton side, for whom Tyler Redwood and Matt Lipton stood out with runs and wickets.

For Bovey Tom Andrew top scored with 18 runs and Sam Oxton took four wickets in his four overs for just six runs.

Kingskerswell’s final match is against Bovey Tracey, who will have to win with good points to have a chance of beating them to the title.

Kingskerswell 137-7, South Devon 30. Kerswell bt South Devon by 107 runs.

Bovey Tracey 78-9, Barton 73-7. Bovey bt Barton by 5 runs.

Kingskerswell 124-5, Brixham 69-7, Kingskerswell bt Brixham by 55 runs.

Kingsbridge 109-7, South Devon 73. Kingsbridge bt South Devon by 36 runs.

UNDER 15s

BOVEY Tracey have recorded back-to-back wins over Kingsbridge and Paignton with county player Jack Thomas the star turn

Kingsbridge won the toss and batted, then slumped to 20 for four. A a stand off 71 between in-form Bradbury and Woods took them to 106 for seven.

Bovey made a shocking start with Dory claiming a wicket in his first over, but from then on their batters took control. Bishop (41) and Thomas (40) knocked the runs off in a nine-wicket win.

Bovey’s win over Paignton was a much closer affair decided by just one run in their favour.

Thomas hit some lusty blows into the bowling green at Queens Park on his way to 41.

Olli Higgs kept the runs down at one end with figures of one for five in three.

Paignton were on course until Thomas and Ben Roberts came back for their second spells.

Needing nine off the last over, Paignton were one short. Will Castleton (39) and Dan Wolf (38no) both batted well.

Paignton bounced back with an eight-wicket win over Kingsbridge at Queens Park.

Kingsbridge totalled 79 against tight bowling Mike Turton and Jordan Burnett. Paignton knocked off the total in 12 overs.

Torquay came up short when they went to Paignton, losing by 46 runs chasing 122 to win.

Castleton (40ret) and Pete Taylor (40ret) helped Paignton to 121 for three.

Torquay finished up on 75 for seven with Danny McKenna making 23.

UNDER 17 A DIVISION | Tables to follow

STOKE Gabriel remain unbeaten and top the table on 51 points but with many matches behind schedule that may change.

Paignton must have fancied their chances against the leaders when their innings closed on 133 for two.

Opener, Callum Stanley (27), Ollie Higgs (52ret) and Michael Meech (21) were the main scorers for Paignton.

Seb Ansley bowled tightly for the hosts with figures of one for 11 from four overs.

Stoke achieved victory in the 19th over without difficulty after losing only three wickets - Jack Tolley (51ret) and Nathan Kidd (38) the main contributors.

Shaldon Optimists have pulled out of the competition due to lack of players.

UNDER 17 B DIVISION | Tables to follow

UNBEATEN Brixham still head the table on 71 points but Kingskerswell are now positioned in second spot on 69 points after a 34-run home victory over Torquay.

Kingskerswell accumulated runs smoothly against Torquay whose opening bowler Tim Thorneywork bowled two overs for two runs.

Chris Robson-Close 27 and Ellis Denega 23 were the best of five Kerswell batsmen scoring double figures and taking their side to 130 for five.

Luke Fitton’s single wicket for 15 from four overs was the best for Torquay.

Torquay were indebted to talented U16 batsman, Mawgan Penrice, who was the only player in double figures and was eventually bowled by Matt Passmore for 45.

A young U17 Torquay team could not cope with the pressure from Kingskerswell’s bowlers – Passmore (3-17) and Robson-Close (1-7) and were limited to 96 for seven.

Rain terminated the fixture at Abbotskerswell who scored 120 for three against visitors Chudleigh. Alex Birt continued his excellent season with 44 and Noah-Tobias retired on 51. Ben Holmes and Matt Heather bowled tightly with a wicket each.

A potentially exciting finish was thwarted by the weather after eight overs of the Chudleigh reply, which finished on 46 for two.

Abbots sit in third place on 65 points with Chudleigh two points behind in fourth position.
