THORVERTON have started preparing for the new season with regular Thursday night net sessions at the Devon Cricket Centre in Exeter.
A familiar face will return to the Thorverton side this summer as Queenslander Kody Francis-Griggs has rejoined the club.
Francis-Griggs had two hugely successful seasons with the club – 2008 and 2009 – when he aggregated 1,451 runs and took 67 wickets.
He returned again midway through the 2013 campaign to stabilise the B Division club after Kiwi Luke Boyadijian had to go home early.
Francis-Griggs is currently working in Europe at a ski resort, but the season will be over in plenty of time before cricket starts in early May.
Graham White remains captain at Station Road with Dave Baldock as number two.
