DEVON Lions were on the wrong end of a 10-wicket drubbing against a Warwickshire XI at Kings Heath yesterday.Jack Dart top scored for Devon with 47 in a total of 148 all out after 43 of the 45 overs available.
The Lions were struggling at 102 for six before Dart and Mark Orchard (19) put on 38 to make the scoreline a little more respectable.
Opening bowler Tom Payne had three Lions wickets for 27 runs.
Warwickshire openers Mark Best (72no) and Mike Hingley (38no) knocked off the runs without too many problems.
Orchard’s nine overs for 20 runs, and Will Squire’s 17 runs off 18 overs, represented the Lions’ best bowling efforts.
