WEEK three of the Stay in Devon North Devon Cricket league was a near total washout.
Just one game survived the two-day programme, that the top-flight match at North Devon where Braunton were put to the sword.
Glenn Querl was the architect in chief of Braunton’s meagre total of 93 all out. The Zimbabwe-born seamer who is having trials with Lancashire this week claimed six wickets for just six runs!
Dan Bowser then made short work of the run chase with an unbeaten 46 and fittingly, when the winning line was crossed, Querl was the other not-out batsman.
The other 13 scheduled league game as across Saturday and Sunday saw not a single ball bowled in anger.
That was particularly harsh on League newcomers Dulverton who have now seen their first three fixtures in this season’s competition washed away by then weather!
They will try to make it fourth time lucky at Nomansland, Witheridge this coming Sunday (May 6).
