Devon Pitch Advisers top up with knowledge.
On one of the wettest days ever the Devon Pitch Advisors headed North to Weston-Super-Mare CC to attend the Southern ECB Regional PA’s Seminar.
The day started with Coffee and Biscuits and stories of closed roads (M5 inc) and flooding, Dr Kate Entwistle, Turf Pest and Disease Specialist, Then conducted a discussion on Fairy Rings and all other Turf Diseases’which took us to a very welcome Lunch.

After Lunch the Sun emerged and we all felt happier about the homeward leg of our day, Andrew Clark from the IOG presented a paper on Extremes of weather both dry and wet and how to best get Cricket played safely then Kate returned to finish off the Day with Turf Pests.
We all had a very interesting time and felt better prepared for what Mother Nature has to throw at us next season and concluded we all needed to “get out more”
