University Indoor League proves a hit with students

Plymouth University, supported by the Devon Cricket Board, have set up an indoor league which is proving to be very popular with its students. The indoor league, which takes place twice a week, has 45 students regularly participating in it. The league is scheduled to run for 8 weeks after which the aim is to switch to an outdoor format when the students return for the summer.

Howard Shaddick who is the Sport and Coaching Activator at Plymouth University said "The league has proved to be a huge success so far. The feedback we have received from participants is encouraging and we look forward to continuing this project".
Devon's Cricket Development Manager, Matt Theedom, agreed with Howard saying "It is great to see adult participation rising in cricket within the county. It is an area that we are focusing on and we are seeking  to mirror the success at Plymouth University all over Devon".
