PLYMOUTH entertain Torquay looking to get back to winning ways at the first opportunity. The city side were beaten at Bovey last time out and want to move on quickly.
“When you suffer a defeat the on thing you want is to get back out there,” said skipper Matt Hooper.
“We certainly have that with Torquay on Saturday and Sunday against Brixham.
“This weekend is an important weekend as we are looking to get back on track in the league and do well in the Devon Cup.
“We have a similar team to last weekend with Rob Button coming in instead of Harry Stephenson who is unavailable.
“We lost to Torquay last year so we know that they are a good side who can turn teams over.
“We are looking forward to playing at home again on a good wicket.
“The batters all realize they didn't really apply themselves last week so they are all eager to put that right.
“We are just looking to get back on track and maintain our 100% record at Mount-Wise.”
It is off to Brixham in the cup on Sunday, when Callum Whittaker, Dave Burke and Harry Stephenson are all unavailable.
“It is a great opportunity for some of the younger players to have a go,” said Hooper.
“We have Harry Barnes and Jon Cummings coming in. Both are eager to show what they can do and both have bright futures for Plymouth so it will be interesting to see how they do.”
