THE DEVON CRICKET LEAGUE RULES 2013
To all Clubs,See below, a number of documents prepared in advance of our AGM in late January 2013.
Please examine all of the papers (click on the appropriate Rule to bring up the proposed change) and should you wish to submit any amendments then please forward them to the Administrator, Geoff Coish by 30th November 2012.
Proposals for the 2013 Season.
The Constitution of the League : (Rules 1 to 10 inclusive)
Rule 5 - Amendments to DCL Rules Proposed by the DCL
This amendment is simply to afford the DCL Administrator a little more time to prepare documents for the Annual General Meeting (AGM).
Rule 6 - Subscriptions Proposed by the DCL
This amendment is to confirm the DCL proposal to reduce subscriptions for Clubs for the 2013 season only. You will recall that this is made to support Clubs who sustained a poor year financially in the 2012 season.
You will recall that the Fixtures Secretary requested more time to publish the Annual Fixtures for the DCL.
Rule 12 - Playing Regulations This Rule supersedes the existing Rule 12
This is confirmation of the proposal agreed at the recent Divisional Meeting.
This rule is applicable to Premier 1st XI and 'A' Division 1st XI matches only.
Rule 13 - Playing Regulations This Rule supersedes the existing Rule 12
This is confirmation of the proposal agreed at the recent Divisional Meeting.
This rule is applicable to 'B' & 'C' Division 1st XI and Premier 2nd XI and 'A' Division 2nd XI matches only.
Rule 14 - Playing Regulations This Rule supersedes the existing Rule 12
This is confirmation of the proposal agreed at the recent Divisional Meeting.
This rule is applicable to 'D', 'E' & 'F' Division 1st XI and 'B' & 'C' Division and all other 2nd XI matches.
Rule 15 - Match Results/Results Sheets/Reports Proposed by the DCL
(This Rule supersedes the existing Rule 15)
This introduces fines to Umpires that do not comply with the reports procedure. As agreed with DACO.
Rule 18 - Inability to fulfil a Fixture Proposed by the DCL
(This Rule supersedes the existing Rule 18)
The existing Rule contained with playing regulations has been replaced and increases the fines structure for late cancellation of matches.
Rule 19 - Players: Eligibility & Registration This Rule replaces the existing Rule
This rule has been introduced to absorb all through registration, it was generally approved at the recent Divisional Meetings subject to a number of conditions that have been incorporated within the new rule. To be read in conjunction with the revised Results Form.
Rule 24 - Clothing and Attire Proposed by the DCL
(This Rule replaces the existing Rule 24)
This issue has been amended following suggestions from many Clubs. Although this proposal ia a considerable change we would still wish to maintain standards of attire and behaviour throughout the Devon Cricket League competition.
