STOKEINTEIGNHEAD walloped Plymstock by 60 runs in their latest South Devon League encounter.
Stoke were limited to 165 for six in their 40 overs – Tom Hawkins finishing unbeaten on 42,
Mark Russell made 26. Paul Russell made 24, as did Dan Britcliffe, whose two previous knocks were both centuries.
Ollie Mulberry, the Devon rugby player, was the pick of the Plymstock bowlers with three for 32.
Breakthroughs
Hawkins made two early breakthroughs when Plymstock batted, sending back Rory Coltham and Dan Robotham in quick succession.
The Russells along with Andrew Thornton-Clarke got in on the wicket-taking act as Plymstock slumped to 29 for five in reply.
Dan Dyer (21) and Ben Russell (20) staved off total collapse but the damage was done and Plymstock were all out for 110 in 27 overs – man of the match Hawkins and Mark Russell claiming three wickets each.LATEST TABLES
